Residential Solar Systems

Complete home energy independence. Smart panels, battery backup, EV charging and real-time monitoring — all designed around your family's energy needs.

Residential solar installation

For homeowners in Antalya, Alanya and across the Mediterranean coast, Nexo Solar's residential packages offer the fastest route to energy independence. With electricity prices rising year after year, a home solar system is one of the soundest financial decisions a homeowner can make — with returns that outperform most investment options while delivering genuine energy security.

Our residential systems are designed as complete energy packages: high-efficiency solar panels capture the abundant Mediterranean sun, a hybrid inverter manages power flow intelligently, an optional LiFePO4 battery stores surplus energy for evening and night use, and our IoT platform gives you complete visibility of your home's energy flows via smartphone.

Whether you live in a detached villa, a detached house or a row of townhouses, Nexo Solar will design and install a system precisely matched to your roof, your consumption patterns and your budget.

How Residential Solar Works

During the day, your panels generate more than your home consumes. The hybrid inverter uses solar power first, charges the battery with surplus, then exports any remaining excess to the grid. In the evening, the battery discharges to power your home. At night or on cloudy days when battery is depleted, the grid provides backup. The result: your grid consumption — and electricity bill — is minimised to near zero.

Residential Package Options

  • Starter (5–8 kWp): Ideal for apartments and small homes. Covers 60–80% of typical consumption. No battery — grid-tied. From ₺65,000 installed.
  • Essential (10–12 kWp + battery): Popular for family homes. 100% daytime self-sufficiency, evening battery coverage. From ₺130,000 installed.
  • Premium (15–20 kWp + large battery + EV charger): Full energy independence package. Includes 10 kWh+ battery and 7 kW smart EV charger. From ₺200,000 installed.

Smart Home Energy Management

All residential systems include our Nexo Smart Energy app. Features include: real-time generation and consumption display, battery charge status, savings tracker (daily, monthly, annual), CO₂ offset counter, fault alerts and remote inverter diagnostics. The app can also control your EV charger — prioritising solar charging when generation exceeds home consumption.

EV Charging Integration

Adding a smart EV charger to your residential solar system is one of the most impactful upgrades available. A 7 kW home charger connected to our smart energy management system will automatically prioritise solar energy to charge your car during peak generation hours, cutting your fuel costs by 80–100% on solar days. At 15,000 km/year, this can save ₺30,000–₺60,000 annually depending on your vehicle.

Cost & Savings Example

Typical Antalya family home: Monthly bill ₺2,500 → 12 kWp system with 10 kWh battery → Investment ₺155,000 → Annual saving ₺28,000 → Payback 5.5 years → 20-year net saving ₺405,000+.

With rising electricity prices factored in (historically 20–30%/year in Turkey), actual payback is typically 3–4 years and 20-year savings substantially higher.

We recommend a minimum of 5 kWp for residential systems. This covers most daytime consumption and provides meaningful savings. The optimal size depends on your bill and roof space — our survey will determine the right fit.
You need to be home at the start and end of installation day for access and handover. During the installation itself, our team works independently. We leave your property clean and tidy.
Yes — if you have a hybrid inverter and battery, the system switches to island mode during grid outages, continuing to power essential circuits from solar and battery. Grid-only (non-hybrid) inverters shut down during outages for safety.
Yes, if you install a hybrid inverter from the start, you can add a battery at any time. We recommend specifying a battery-ready hybrid inverter even if you're not adding a battery initially, to keep the upgrade option open.
Yes, we work with several Turkish banks offering solar-specific loan products. Monthly loan payments are often lower than the electricity bill savings, making solar cash-flow positive from month one.

Residential Solar: Energy Independence for Your Family

Installing a residential solar system turns your home from a pure energy consumer into an energy producer too. A home system that taps Antalya's abundant sunshine can cut your family's electricity bill to near zero from the very first month. Given the relentless rise in electricity prices, residential solar has become the safest long-term savings vehicle available.

Sizing a Home System: How Many Panels Do You Need?

Correct sizing avoids both over-investment and under-capacity. The basic calculation works like this:

Home Profile System Size Panel Count Investment (₺) Annual Saving
Small apartment (2+1)3 kWp6–7 panels₺48,000₺16,200
Mid-size home (3+1)5 kWp10–11 panels₺75,000₺27,000
Large home / villa10 kWp18–20 panels₺135,000₺52,000
Detached / farmhouse15 kWp27–30 panels₺195,000₺75,000

Air Conditioning & Energy: The Perfect Summer Solution

In Antalya, a home's biggest electricity draw comes from air conditioning in summer. Consumption that stays low from October to April doubles or triples between June and September. Because solar generation also peaks in exactly that window, a home solar system is tailor-made for the Antalya climate. Run your air conditioning on the electricity you make from the sun in summer, and bank the surplus through net metering for the winter months.

Installation Day: What Should I Expect?

Most home systems can be installed in a single working day. The day runs like this:

Home Solar & Loan Financing

You can finance your solar system with a personal loan. Selected banks lend 50–70% of the cost for solar projects. The key point is this: the monthly loan instalment is, in most cases, lower than your monthly electricity savings — so the system is cash-flow positive from the very first month. Our advisors compare the available bank products to help you find the best financing option.

Safety & Standards in Home Solar Systems

Residential solar systems are designed and installed in line with Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) and international IEC standards. The main safety points we observe:

Home Solar & Property Value

International studies show that homes with a solar system sell for 3–8% more on the market. Given Antalya's large foreign-investor and tourist population, an energy-independent villa or home carries a serious competitive advantage. You can sell the system together with the home, or transfer it with the property to offer the buyer an attractive added value.

Answers to Your Pre-Installation Questions

The questions we hear most often when customers are deciding to invest in solar — answered clearly:

My electricity supply is single-phase — is that a problem?

Single-phase (220V) supply is fine for homes. Single-phase systems can be installed up to a maximum of 10 kWp. For larger systems that need a three-phase connection, the distribution utility can also upgrade your subscription.

What happens if snow falls on the panels?

Snowfall is extremely rare in Antalya. Even so, because the panel surface is slightly tilted, a light dusting slides off within a few hours. As long as snow stays under about 3 cm, there is no meaningful loss in output — and Antalya's winter sun alone delivers enough irradiance to keep the system productive.

Can my neighbours object? Do I need a permit?

For detached homes, a municipal permit is generally not required (up to 10 kWp). In apartment blocks and managed estates, approval from the property owners' association is needed. If you are a tenant, the building owner's written consent is essential. We provide legal and technical support through all of these processes.

What happens when I sell the property?

You can either transfer the system with the property or have it removed and reinstalled at a new location. The net metering agreement passes to the new owner. International studies show that properties with solar systems command 3–8% higher market value.
