Commercial Solar Installations

Large-scale solar for hotels, factories, shopping centres and businesses. Cut your energy costs by up to 80% and protect your business from electricity price volatility.

Commercial solar installation

Energy is one of the top three operating costs for most businesses in Antalya. Hotels, factories, warehouses and retail centres consume enormous quantities of electricity — much of it during peak daytime hours when solar generation is at its strongest. This perfect alignment of generation and consumption makes commercial solar one of the most financially compelling investments available to business owners today.

Nexo Solar has designed and installed commercial systems ranging from a 50 kWp boutique hotel rooftop in Alanya to a 500 kWp ground mount facility in Manavgat. Our commercial team includes electrical engineers, structural specialists and project managers who handle the entire process from feasibility through to grid connection and handover.

We understand that business owners need certainty: certainty that installation will not disrupt operations, that the system will perform as projected, and that the investment will be protected for its full 25-year life. Our IoT monitoring platform, 10-year workmanship warranty and proactive maintenance contracts are our commitments to that certainty.

Commercial Solar Applications

  • Hotels & resorts: Air conditioning, pool heating, kitchen, laundry — all offset by rooftop solar
  • Factories & manufacturing: Process loads, lighting, HVAC — often 60–80% offset achievable
  • Shopping centres & retail: Lighting, escalators, HVAC — vast roof areas ideal for large systems
  • Hospitals & healthcare: Critical loads with battery backup for grid independence
  • Office buildings: Air conditioning and lighting offset; EV charging for staff fleet
  • Warehouses & logistics: Large flat roofs ideal for ground-mount equivalent output

How Commercial Solar Delivers ROI

Commercial electricity tariffs in Turkey are significantly higher than residential, often above ₺4.00/kWh with demand charges. A 200 kWp system generates approximately 310,000 kWh/year, worth over ₺1.24 million at current tariffs. With installation cost of approximately ₺2.6 million, payback is achieved in just over 2 years. For a business with a 30-year building, this represents over ₺30 million in lifetime energy cost savings.

Hotel Solar: The Mediterranean Opportunity

Antalya's hotels run air conditioning for 8–9 months per year — exactly when solar generation is at its peak. A 150-room hotel consuming 2 million kWh annually can typically offset 40–60% with a rooftop system. We have completed hotels with payback periods as short as 2.5 years. Nexo Solar offers hotel-specific project structuring including power purchase agreements (PPAs) where no capital investment is required.

Installation Without Business Disruption

Our commercial installation process is designed around your operational calendar. We plan work to minimise disruption: rooftop access outside peak hours, phased commissioning to maintain power at all times, and a dedicated project manager who communicates daily with your facilities team.

A typical 100–500 kWp commercial system can be installed in 2–6 weeks from permit receipt. The permit process (grid application) takes 4–8 weeks. Total timeline from first contact to system live is typically 3–4 months.
Yes, solar can offset any size of load. For heavy industrial consumers (compressors, furnaces, large motors), we design systems that cover the base load, with the grid supplying peak demand. The larger the consumption, the larger the absolute saving.
We design commercial systems to be expandable. Inverter capacity and grid connection are typically sized with headroom for future expansion phases. Adding more panels is straightforward with pre-planned infrastructure.
Yes, for commercial projects above 100 kWp we offer a year-one production guarantee backed by insurance. If the system generates less than 95% of the design yield (adjusted for actual weather), we remediate at our cost.
In a PPA, Nexo Solar or a financing partner installs and owns the solar system on your building. You purchase the electricity it generates at a fixed rate below your current grid tariff — with zero upfront investment. After 10–15 years, ownership typically transfers to you.

Commercial & Industrial Solar: The Hard Financial Logic

For high-consumption businesses, a commercial solar system is not just a cost-cutting tool — it is a strategic energy-security investment. Large consumers such as factories, shopping centres, logistics hubs, hotels and hospitals sharpen their competitive edge by decoupling from grid tariffs. There is an extra advantage for businesses operating in Antalya: peak summer demand lines up exactly with peak solar generation, so at the height of the season you are both consuming the most energy and producing the most of it.

The Regulatory Advantages of Commercial Solar

Several legal frameworks make commercial solar investment attractive in Turkey:

The Commercial Solar Process (EPC — Turnkey)

For commercial solar projects, the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract model puts both the risk and the management burden under a single point of control. The process runs through these stages:

SCADA & Remote Monitoring: Operational Efficiency

On commercial-scale systems, SCADA platforms such as Huawei FusionSolar or SolarEdge go live alongside the installation. These platforms:

Commercial Solar & ESG Sustainability Goals

For businesses looking to cut their carbon footprint as part of corporate sustainability reporting, solar is one of the most tangible actions available. A 100 kWp system prevents roughly 155 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. That figure can be reported as a verifiable impact in ISO 14001, GRI or CDP disclosures. For exporters facing pressure from international customers or supply chains, it can also become a condition of market access.

Answers to Your Pre-Installation Questions

The questions we hear most often when customers are deciding to invest in solar — answered clearly:

My electricity supply is single-phase — is that a problem?

Single-phase (220V) supply is fine for homes. Single-phase systems can be installed up to a maximum of 10 kWp. For larger systems that need a three-phase connection, the distribution utility can also upgrade your subscription.

What happens if snow falls on the panels?

Snowfall is extremely rare in Antalya. Even so, because the panel surface is slightly tilted, a light dusting slides off within a few hours. As long as snow stays under about 3 cm, there is no meaningful loss in output — and Antalya's winter sun alone delivers enough irradiance to keep the system productive.

Can my neighbours object? Do I need a permit?

For detached homes, a municipal permit is generally not required (up to 10 kWp). In apartment blocks and managed estates, approval from the property owners' association is needed. If you are a tenant, the building owner's written consent is essential. We provide legal and technical support through all of these processes.

What happens when I sell the property?

You can either transfer the system with the property or have it removed and reinstalled at a new location. The net metering agreement passes to the new owner. International studies show that properties with solar systems command 3–8% higher market value.
